How can I create a winning Travel Journal?

We’re looking for the MapVivo journey that most makes up want to pack our bags and go! The excitement and experiences you’ve encountered on your journeys are more important to us than where you’ve been – sharing some great photos and telling us what you got up to and how you felt about it are they key things to make us want to travel in your footsteps.

Remember, winning journeys will be selected from a short list of “most popular” journeys – see below to find out how to make your journey popular.

Don’t forget to publish your journey using the “publish” button on the edit screen!

How can I make sure my journey becomes popular?

The popularity of a journey is determined by the number of times it has been viewed, and the average rating that it receives. Journeys can be rated by clicking on the globe icons at the top right of the journey view page.

The most popular journeys of the last month are displayed on the MapVivo front page under “Most Popular Journeys”

You can help make your journey popular by sharing it with friends. View your journey and use the ‘Share’ menu at the top of the page to share your journey with friends via email, Facebook or Twitter. - all of these things drive views and votes!

How will the final winner be judged?

We’re assembling a judging panel of seasoned travelers who will basically be looking for one thing: would they like to go on your trip? Our judges have been pretty much everywhere, so they are most likely to be impressed by tales of your experiences rather than exotic locations.
